My Dad, Atticus is SO Cool!
I think my dad; Atticus is very boring because he doesn't play tackle football with Jem like the other dads. He is so old and not fun because he plays the Jew Harp, chess, and reads books. Wow reading books are really lame for a dad. My opinion on Atticus changed on the day Mr. Harry Johnson's dog, Tim Johnson, had the raibes. Calpurnia called Atticus on that day and after she called Eula May, the operator of Maycomb to tell everybody to stay indoors. At this moment I was just scared of what was going to happen next. Calpurnia knocked on the Radleys door and she shouted to stay inside the house. I was very curious if Boo Radley would come out when Calpurnia was knocking on the door, but unfortunately he didn't. Suddenly I see the sheriff of Maycomb, Mr. Tate with my daddy, Atticus. Mr. Tate saw the dog coming up the treet and had a clear shot, but if he missed the bullet would the Radley's house. This was when I just froze for many seconds looking at Mr. Tate telling my daddy that he should take the shot because he is more experienced. As Atticus took his aim my heart was beating like a strong drum beat. BANG! I amazingly saw Tim Johnson fall and die. I was telling myself my daddy knows how to shoot. OH YEAH! When Miss. Maudie told Jem and I that Atticus was called in the past the Ol' One Shot. I was happy and proud that my father was called the one shot. Miss Maudie also told us he stopped shooting guns because he was civilized and a marksmanship of a gift GOD. This showed me that my daddy is a man with civilized manners and I take him as a good role model. Atticus had put his gun down because GOD had given him an unfair advantage over the animals. Atticus promised he would never shoot until it was a hopeless situation and he was provoked, but I think my daddy is the most brave and 1# Dad in the world. Hah! You don't have cool dad like me!

I hoped that you would not see that event. I have set a very bad example for you and Jem. This was an emergency and I was the only person able to shoot. I promised I would never shoot a gun ever again after that incident. I hope that you never have to see a gun shot ever again
